Everything your plants need

At the heart of Plant1 dharā lies patented OxyFlow technology- a rhythm inspired by rivers.

Where, natural oxygenation occurs through currents and waterfalls. Along riverbanks, nutrient-rich water flows in and then gently recedes. This natural cycle creates ideal environment for plant growth, delivering nutrients to the roots while periodically renewing oxygen.

Plant1 dharā isn’t just smart—it’s nature, perfected through design.

for the curious

Everything you might want to know

Plant1 Dharā is a world’s first soil-free, auto-watering Smart Planter designed for indoor plants and modern urban gardening. It uses a closed-loop reservoir system and Plant1’s patented OxyFlow™technology to deliver water (and nutrients when used) in a controlled rhythm, helping your plants stay consistently hydrated with less daily effort, less mess, and less guesswork.

Yes. Dharā–the Smart Planteris 100% soil-free, designed for clean and easy indoor plant care. Instead ofmessysoil, your plant sits securely in the Orbit Basket with a soil-free growing medium, while water (and nutrients when used) are delivered through the reservoir. This means no muddy hands, fewer spills, and a cleaner home setup, ideal for urbanliving spacesand apartments.

Traditional pots rely on manual watering and drainage, which can lead to overwatering, underwatering, and water wastage.Plant1’s Smart Plantersimplifies this with auto-watering, selectable watering modes, smart refill reminders, and a closed-loop system designed to reuse water efficientlymaking indoor plant care more consistent.

Yes,Dharā–the Smart Planteris designed to use up to 60% less water compared to traditional pots. Because it’s a closed-loop reservoir system, water is reused instead of being lost through bottom drainage and frequent top-watering. Water savings can also be affected by evaporation, which varies with indoor temperature, airflow/AC, and light. Actual savings depend on plant type and indoor conditions.

Dharā–the Smart Planter is built for indoor plants across multiple categories, making it ideal for urban gardening. Some examples include:

  • Herbs & Leafy Greens: Basil, Thyme, Mint, Lettuce, Spinach, etc.
  • Flowers &Ornamentals: Peace Lily, Anthurium, Spider Plant, Pothos (Money Plant),
    Philodendron, etc.
  • Orchids& Exotics: Phalaenopsis (Moth Orchid), Dendrobium Orchid, Calathea, Alocasia
  • Cacti &Succulents: Aloe Vera, Jade Plant, Echeveria, Haworthia, and other varieties Becausethis Smart Planteroffers multiple watering modes, you can tune the watering rhythm frommore frequent cycles for thirstier plants (many herbs/greens) and less frequent cycles for low-water plants (succulents/cacti).

The 360° rotating Orbit Basket helps promote even growth and gives you a beautiful view from every angle. It’s designed so you can rotate your plant for balanced shapeespecially useful for
indoor plants that lean toward light.

Yes. Dharā–the Smart Planteris designed forurbanlifestylesthat includesbusy work weeks, compact apartments, and frequent travels. It’s soil-free design keeps things clean indoors, the reservoir system reduces how often you need to refill, and the selectable watering modes let you adjust care to your plant demands, thus making greenery effortless for everyone.

Don’t worry this can be a simple power connection issue. Try these steps in order:

Check the cable connection (most common fix).

  • Make sure the USB Type-C cable is firmly plugged into the Smart Planter. Sometimes
Type-C can look connected even when it isn’t fully seated.
  • Check the wall socket / outlet.
Plug the adapter into a different wall socket to confirm the outlet is working.
  • Try a different 5V USB Type-C adapter. Use another known working 5V USB Type-C adapter to rule out a faulty power adapter.

If the Smart Planter still doesn’t power on after these checks, please contact Plant1 Customer Support for further assistance.

The substrate should feel lightly moist over timebut not soaked. If it feels consistently dry, it usually means the water isn’t reaching the root zone as expected, or the plant needs a more frequent watering rhythm. The most common reasons are:

  • Low water level in the reservoir
If thewater in thereservoir is low, itmay not have enough water to complete its normal
    hydration cycles.
  • Orbit Basket is not seated properly (misalignment) The Orbit Basket needs to sit correctly so water can reach the plant’s roots evenly. If it’s
slightly misaligned or not inserted fully, the water path can be interruptedleading to a drier substrate even when there’s water in the reservoir.
  • Mineral deposits or debris affecting water flow Over time, minerals from water or small debris can build up and reduce water movement. If the water flow is partially blocked, the substrate can stay drier than normal.
  • Your plant needs a more frequent watering cycle If the reservoir level is fine, the basket is aligned, and there’s no visible blockagebut your substrate still dries quicklyyour plant may simply prefer more frequent hydration
(common with herbs, leafy greens, and thirstier indoor plants). In that case, switch to a more frequent watering mode and observe for a few days.

Lift the Orbit Basket out gently and check if anything is blocking it from sitting flat.

  • Align it with the reservoir grooves/slots and lower it back in slowly.
  • Make sure it’s fully seated and stable it shouldn’t wobble or sit at an angle.
  • Once placed correctly, let Dharā run its next cycle and check the substrate after a while. A misaligned basket can interrupt the water path, so the root zone may stay drier even when the reservoir has water.

If you notice any buildupnear the pump, it can reduce water flow and make the substrate feel drier. Here’s what to do:

  • Unplugthe devicefor safety.
  • Remove the Orbit Basket and inspect the reservoir and pump area for visible deposits or debris.
  • Drain the reservoir and rinse it with clean water toflushoutanyloose particles.
  • Gently clean around the pump area and remove any visible buildup.
  • Refill with clean water, reinsert the Orbit Basket properly, and run the next cycle.

Cleaning the reservoir and pump area helps restore normal flow inthe Smart Planter’sclosed- loop system. If the issue continues after cleaning, reach out to Plant 1CustomerSupport.

A red light with a buzzer sound means the water level in thereservoiris low and the Smart Planter needs a water refill. To restore normal auto-watering:

  • Refill the reservoir with clean water up to the recommended level.
  • Ensure the Orbit Basket is seated properly after refilling.
  • Once refilled, the alert should stop and the device will continue its watering cycles.

A yellow light with a long buzzer about every 30 seconds signals an issue that needs technical help. Contact Plant1 Care Support for guided troubleshooting.

OxyFlow™is Plant1’s patented technology which is inspired by how moving water naturally re- oxygenates. In each cycle, water rises to hydrate the root zone (and carry nutrients when used), then recedes back into the reservoir; helping maintain a healthier balanceof moisture and air around roots instead of constant soaking.

Dharā–the Smart Planter can run up to 30 days of auto-watering without refills. The exact refill interval will vary based on plant type and size, indoor temperature and airflow (AC vs non-AC), light levels, and the watering mode you select (more frequentmodes typically use water faster
than less frequent ones).

Yes. Dharā–the Smart Planter requires electricity to run its auto watering cycles. It connects via 5VUSB Type-C powerand for consistent operation, keep it connected tothepower as instructedin the user manual

Dharā-theSmart Planteris designed for quiet indoor spaces, with noise levelthat’s practically “Zero.”Its silent operation blends seamlessly into your home, adding greenery with comforting aesthetics without disturbing your space.

Choose based on your plant type and how quickly moisture dries in your space (heat, light,
humidity, airflow). Each mode matches a different need:

  • Rain Rush (Every 3 Hours):Best for thirstier plantsmanyforherbs, leafy greens, and plants that prefer consistently moist conditions.
  • Morning Dew (Every 6 Hours):Frequent hydration, slightly gentler than Rain Rush, good for plants that like regular moisture without the most frequent cycle.
  • Canopy Calm (Every 12 Hours):Balanced everyday mode for many indoor plants, ideal when your plant prefers steadier moisture or your home is warmer/brighter or has more airflow (plants drink faster).
  • Mountain Mist (Every 24 Hours):Calmer rhythm with slightly drier intervals, better when your space is cooler/more humid or lower-light (plants drink slower).
  • Desert Still (Every 48 Hours):Minimal watering forsucculents and cactiand other low- water plants. If you’re unsure, start withCanopy Calm (Every 12 Hours)and adjust after a few days based on how your plant responds.

Smart alerts are Dharā’s built-in LED + audio reminders that help you staymaintain your plants without daily monitoring. When the water level is adequate, Dharā shows a blue glow. When the water level is low, it switches to a red glow and plays a beep every 30 seconds to remind you to
refill.
